Meet Attorney Steve Howen: Why He Is Right for You

After graduating from Baylor University with an accounting degree, Steve served as an officer in the United States Air Force for five years. He next graduated with honors from S.M.U. law school, where he was also an editor of the Law Review, on the School’s Board of Advocates and a member of the Legal Honor Society Order of the Coif. Following law school, Steve practiced for fifteen years at one of Dallas' most prestigious firms, Figari Davenport, LLC. While a partner at Figari Davenport Steve tried and won many cases and argued successfully to the Texas Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He formed the Law Offices of Stephen Howen and For Texas Kids, a related company, to redirect his practice and his life to helping Texas families and building Texas communities. Steve is pictured above with the beneficiaries of his Family Lifeguard Plan. While his dogs, Fred and Ethel, did not make the picture, they are in the will.
